Who We Are

Youth recovery connections aims to focus on environmental prevention strategies in order to change the community norms, access, and availability that contributes to substance use problems. YRC provides substance abuse prevention for an individual(s) or a population of youth by focusing on environmental and community factors and policies, developmental factors, or skill development. In collaboration with local organizations, law enforcement, EMS, hospitals, schools, and other youth related entities we will increase public awareness and decrease substance use. We believe by focusing on early childhood prevention we can also reduce criminality and mental health problems while promoting academic achievement. Prevention programs can have long term benefits for their children and families they serve, as well as for society as a whole. Through collective action, we can strengthen prevention efforts throughout the community.
